The Enchanted Hat Adventure Series Volume 1 John Ulutunu 9781523295074 Books

What would you do with an enchanted hat? A hat that, randomly changes shape to show function. Would you put it on? Would you see where the hat takes you? That's what David does. A keeper of all things, he happens across a hat that changes his life forever!
David is a collector. Whether a leaf, a rock, baseball cards- anything, he will find a place in his room for it and add to it as days, months and years go by. It's driven his parents into debates, but he refuses to stop. One day he happens upon a hat, stuck in the upper branches of a tree. But it's no ordinary hat. It fluidly changes. One second it's a clown's hat, the next a yellow hard hat. Once in David's clutches, he's sent on adventures that would make any collector's day!

The Enchanted Hat is an enigma. I liked the book, but found two things wrong with hit. First, the cover, to me represented a childish tale. It said: I'm about a little boy who just wants to have fun and wear... well, hats! I also thought it was going to be a picture book. The actual story let me know my 12 1/2 year old could have read it. It's strange, but still very likable.

The second thing I found wrong was, for a children's book, it's very wordy. It's over one hundred pages long, but could easily have been shared around fifty or so. It was in the fine detailing of David's thoughts; they could have been shortened a great deal, making the perfect read.

Other than that, David going from rockstar to constructionist and even a scientist on safari was fun. It's what makes children's books amazing and enjoyable. I do suggest that if you chose this book, give it to your nine, ten year old instead of six or seven year old. There are no photos and a lot of conversations and words anyone younger may not have knowledge of.

Cheers! I'm off to the next read!

The Enchanted Hat Adventure Series Volume 1 John Ulutunu 9781523295074 Books Reviews

I recently received the Childrens Books The Enchanted Hat free childrens books, books for kids, childrens books, childrens books for free at a reduced rate in exchange for an unbiased review.

The book was very well written and easy to follow. It was very informative. I read this book with my two grade school aged nieces and it kept their attention and intrigued questions from them.

Highly recommend.
This book is about a boy named David with a hat that isn't a regular one. It is a magical one. It takes him anywhere he wants. This book is really well written. The author has great talent with writing children's book. It is very difficult to compile a story for a child. I read this to my daughter who is just 7 years old and she absolutely loves it. She is so keen that she doesn't want me to stop reading. A really good book. Recommended.
Childrens Books The Enchanted Hat by Mary Sue is a cute tale of a boy that finds a hat that once he puts it one, he goes places and does things he only has dreamed of. A magic hat. I got a bit bored at times but I don't know if kids would or not, hard to tell with kids. Some kids like some things and not others. It was very clever but long winded in some areas. I idea was cute and so was the characters.
I tried to get my non-English speaking 11 year old grandchild to read this.
There was too much background, too many words, not all taught at school, before the hat was found and the adventures could begin.
I can imagine an English speaking family where the mother could read the story and the child enjoy the cadence of familiar words, but for an older foreigner it was not that tempting.
I received this item for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I want to start off by saying this really is a cute book. BUT I thought it was for younger children. My kids are 6 and 3 and although they did let me read it to them off and on they were not fully aware of what was going on in the story every time I went back to read it to them. But I gave this 4 stars because it is a great buy and great for children that are able to read and want to start reading books on there own. There are about 10 chapters so definitely for one who enjoys reading.
There are many children's books that are fun and free. This is one of them. Kids will enjoy the story.
It is about David who loved to collect all kinds of things, but never wanted to share what he collected with anyone. He was a loner.

One day he discovered an old hat in his great grandfather's trunk. He took it out, put it on his head and went for a walk. It seemed that he took the wrong day to walk because the wind was very strong. It blew great granddad's hat off David's head. David ran after it and saw that it stopped at a huge oak tree. He ran to pick up the hat, when he saw something stuck in a branch of the tree, just above his head. He....

Children will thrill learning what happens next.
Absolutely delightful! I got this to read with my nephew (thought he'd especially like it as his name is David, the same as the main character's). David loves to collect things, but he doesn't share his collections with others, he squirrels them away in his room and his mother gets a bit frustrated with what she calls his mess. One day David finds a hat in a tree, it's just the perfect hat to add to his collections, better than perfect because it keeps changing shape and color! He brings it home, puts it on his head when it is in the shape of a pirate's hat and finds himself transported to a pirate ship where he is the captain! He's off on a lovely pirate adventure including treasure and a sword fight. He goes on more adventures, each related to the shape of his hat, discovering a new friend along the way who appears in each of his adventures. I especially like the end where he learns to use his imagination to transport himself on new adventures.
