So I just happened to pick this up after seeing someone post a free book on their timeline. I read the synopsis and it sounded scorching Hawt so I bought it. I'm an avid blogger soooo...... what usually happens is I never get to read books I buy right away. (Or even in the same year!) I was having a hard time sleeping so I opened this up and started reading it. Holy shiznit I flew through the first 9 chapters in no time and jumped on Amazon to buy the whole book! Many have made comments that it is better than FSOG and the Bared to you series and I have to say I am as hooked on this as I was with those! This is a 5 part series and while my book budget, who am I kidding my budget in general is non-existent, is null I will be getting all the rest of the books !!! Alexander Chevalier is a 25 year old to be weakened by and reckoned with. Holy. Freaking. Shhh. When I say this is HOT, I mean you will have to relieve the anxiety that builds over and over and over! Have your B.O.B or booty call on hand! At your beck and call. I find Pearl a bit too insecure, but I have a feeling her skeletons will be revealed soon.Do not sleep on this panty wetting story filled with drama, humor and passion

I first started the book and it took a couple chapters for me to get excited. Once I was a few chapters into the book, I could not put it down. Very well wrote, with strong characters. It is full of twist and turns, just when you think you know what is going to happen think again. At the end I wanted to scream with the cliff hanger. The different parts through out the book make you want more. The set up in the begining has you thinking one thing then it changes twords the middle. Definitely kept me on my toes and wanting more.
I was upset because it is only the first 10 chapters so it is a prequel to the rest of the books. I looked up the rest of the series and when you buy it, you go to chapter 10 to finish book one.
This is a must read
I'm a sucker for great writing, particularly wonderful descriptive writing. This is my first time reading this authors work and I became an instant fan. I typically lean towards interracial romance/erotic books but something about the short synopsis of this book intrigued me, and I'm so happy I trusted my instincts and bought this book. While trusting a complete stranger may seem far fetched for most, this author made the entire story/scenario very believable and sucked you into the world of Pearl and Alexandre.
Being 40 and married with children myself, I understood Pearl's insecurities. At the end of the day we're still women who want to be desired by our husbands or significant other, especially as we age. Pearl allowed her need to be wanted and desired blind her better judgment and what you get is a wonderfully written book that takes you on a beautiful, sexy ride. I will most definitely be reading the rest of the series!!
OK-- first- this is a tease. It's better than some of the tease "books." At least this one wasn't littered with typos and implausible scenarios.
It wasn't so great that I just had to read more. Maybe the "tease" approach works these days for the author's but if so what does that say for their audience. The great writers attracted their readers with good books not a tease. I will never suggest to anyone that they must get a book because the "teaser" was just so great.
The main difference that made the book a "curiosity" was the flip on the difference of age gimmick. I saw it as a gimmick but thought I'd read a few pages.
I am not inclined to buy the series. The author tried a "worn" marketing technique. I didn't hit the remove button after the first five pages. Having read this short book I've had enough. If this type of book is your cup of tea I suspect you will not be filled.
First let me say, I saw the reviews that say 'like 50 shades, or Bared to you' and I just rolled my eyes. There are so many that say that and turn out to be such duds. WELL THIS IS ONE GREAT SERIES... I admit that since it was free I had nothing to lose and saw the great reviews so I didn't think i'd be wasting my time. I just never expected it to capture my interest like some of the other great series had. this has the passion, mystery, characters, wealthy lifestyles and oh so much more of what makes the great ones great. I love the way the author writes and after reading this, I bought the first book.... thinking it maybe won't continue being so great but I was glued to the pages and when I was done with it, I went and bought set. A definite 5 star
Loved this book! I was engrossed with the characters Pearl and Alexandre. The sexy scenes were really steamy and intense and the whole love story was really touching that you couldn't get enough of the couple. This story is beautifully written and the chemistry between the two lead characters - a mature, strong-willed woman and a charismatic, genuine young man - leaves a great impact to the readers. I am so excited to read the rest of the series. Kudos to Ms. Arianne!
The idea of the sexy and cultured billionaire providing a sexual awakening for a woman is a fairly common one, but the twist here is that the billionaire is 25 and the woman is 40. This is the first few chapters of a longer work -- long enough to get into the story and decide if you like it.
Richmonde writes a lot better than some of her peers. The sex scenes are vivid, but realistic. The world of a billionaire is a fantastical one (for the vast majority of us, anyway) and she does a great job of bringing Alexandre's lush world to life (although the book is set in New York, she does a great job imparting a European "feel" when appropriate). The dialogue is generally good (although several of the conversations feel more like official interviews than two people getting to know each other). What held me at a distance in the end was that, despite Pearl being older, there is still the issue that is at the heart of so many "sexy billionaire" novels -- why is this beautiful, intelligent, and pleasant woman needing to wait around for a magical sexual savior? Are beautiful women in Manhattan really that hard up for good sex?
